Canterbury and District Model Engineering Society was formed in 1972 to provide for the interests of local model engineers. We have around 70 members who come from all walks of life. Whilst a few are professional engineers, most are  amateurs  who work at home in their spare time to produce miniature locomotives, traction engines, stationary steam engines and the like.

Vale of Aylesbury Model Engineering Society

Vale of Aylesbury Model Engineering Society invites you to visit its site situated between Bicester and Aylesbury just off the A41 at Quainton. We share the site with Buckinghamshire Railway Museum and one entrance fee gives you access to both venues. Whilst the railway museum restores and operates full size railway stock VAMES concentrates its efforts on scale models.rnrnVisit and be amazed at the skill of our members to design and construct working models of yesteryear.

Tiverton & District Model Engineering Society

The Tiverton & District Model Engineers’ Society is a small model engineering club with approximately 30 members, and is a member of the Southern Federation of Model Engineering Societies.  The inaugural meeting was held on 7th February 1975 at Blundell’s School in Tiverton. A track was established in the school grounds, but due to developments at the school, the club was forced to remove its track in 1987. The club became a limited liability company in 1996, and in 1998 was able to purchase a piece of land, approximately an acre, on Worthy Moor. Over the subsequent 10 years, a new dual gauge raised track was built on the site

The Bridgend Miniature Railway is operated by members of the Bridgend and District Model Engineering Society, it is located within the picturesque surroundings of the Parc Slip Nature Reserve, just 10 minutes from Bridgend town centre.

Plymouth Miniature Steam Club

Membership of Plymouth Miniature Steam is open to anyone who has an interest in building or operating miniature steam operated models, or any other engineering activities. Members operate live steam, petrol and battery powered railway models of 3, 5 and 7 inch gauges, on a ground level track, which measures almost half a mile.  This is located in a valley on the outskirts of the city, that has been designated as a nature reserve.
